Backing Given For Baltic Triangle Development

Liverpool’s City Region Metro Mayor Steve Rotherham has given his backing to the Baltic Triangle development, which could see nearly 1 million sq ft of new employment space created in the city.

Bdaily reported on Mr Rotherham’s comments following a visit to the Baltic Triangle and Brewery Village area, where he said that he can see “massive and untapped potential”, adding that he believes the area could be a “significant catalyst” for the development of the city’s economy.

“The energy, invention and entrepreneurialism that is taking root in the Baltic has real transformational potential,” Mr Rotherham stated.

Baltic Creative chief executive Mark Lawlor told the publication that the area is “an incredible place to live and work”. He added that once the development is completed, the city will “see the area explode in terms of investment and high value jobs for the city”.

This could make it a great place to search for Liverpool office space if you’re trying to find new premises for your growing business.

Baltic Creative recently announced that it is preparing to begin the next stage of development in the quarter, after having acquired a 19th century warehouse on Norfolk Street. The organisation intends to spend the next 10 months restoring the property to create 17,000 sq ft of flexible, modern workspace.

This will include studios of varying sizes, meeting rooms, co-working spaces and collaborative break-out areas, as well as a public cafe on the ground floor. There will be space for around 30 companies once the restoration is completed, supporting approximately 150 jobs.
