If you’re working out of Liverpool serviced offices at the moment, there’s a key date to include in your diary – the weekend of August 5th and 6th, when the Liverpool Loves festival is set to make a much-anticipated return.
This was first started back in 2015 and since then has gone from strength to strength, with about 40,000 people in attendance last year, The Business Desk reports. It truly is one of the highlights of the business calendar each year now and local companies may well want to take part, as it’s a great opportunity for PR and marketing.
Director of the event Josh Boyd explained that thus far the project has invested nearly £15,000 in contracts with businesses in the local area, showcasing more than 250 local firms and more than 100 artists.
The festival – which is held in Derby Square in the middle of the city’s Commercial District – will see bands and artists take to the main stage over the course of the two days, with bars and street food vendors all taking part as well. Family-friendly activities will also be a big feature, as well as free entertainment on the Culturebox stage, provided by local and international community arts groups.
“The event has had a huge level of support in its first two editions and attracted over 67,000 people down to Pier Head – so this year we’re taking steps to develop the offer and take it up a notch by going on tour into the city centre, with our eyes set firmly on 2018’s ten-year anniversary of Liverpool’s Capital of Culture award,” Mr Boyd was quoted by the news source as saying.
Of course, there are all sorts of other Liverpool-based business events going on throughout the rest of the year that might also be worth adding to your diary. On June 27th, for example, there’s NatWest’s Regional BOOST conference intended to help you connect to the right resources and people to really help your company reach its full potential.
And in September, there’s the Wirral & Chester Business Fair at the New Brighton Floral Pavilion, which could also prove to be beneficial for your business. This event has been going on since 2005, with features including business clinics, networking opportunities, business information and advice, workshops, seminars and lots more.
Another event that could prove useful if you’re looking to expand into new markets is the Wirral Chamber of Commerce’s Managing Your Finances When Trading Overseas conference.
If you’re importing, exporting or looking to trade overseas, this would be a good event to attend – and you should come away a greater understanding of the finance options available to you, the financial supply chain, how you can protect yourself against bad debts and exchange rate volatility, cultural differences, language barriers and lots more.
Whether you’re a new or established business, going to events such as these could prove beneficial if you’re looking to maximise your profits this year and well into the future.
