When you start looking for your next serviced offices Liverpool you should consider what kind of breakout space there is available for your team if you want to make sure they’re happy at work and encourage a positive working culture.
Facilities Management World recently reported on a survey conducted on behalf of Nestle Professional, which found that 33 per cent of office workers don’t feel as though their office space or their employer allows them to make the most of taking a break from work.
The poll of 1,000 office workers in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK found that 13 per cent fail to take any break at all during the working day, while 19 per cent only stop working for lunch.
This is despite that fact that 97 per cent of those questioned said that taking short breaks throughout the day would help them feel more organised and more positive about their work and employer.
In addition, nearly three-quarters (73 per cent) said that taking breaks helps them feel more organised and better able to handle their workload.
Meanwhile, Yahoo News recently shared the results of a study conducted by GYMGUYZ, which found that people in desk-based roles often don’t get enough exercise outside of work.
Just nine per cent of those questioned said that they exercise very regularly, while only 30 per cent said that they hit the gym or did other exercise to work up a sweat regularly.
Failing to exercise can have significant health impacts, with a shocking 25 per cent of those surveyed admitting to feeling out of breath after carrying heavy bags of groceries – an indication that our sedentary lifestyles are doing little for our physical health.
