It’s exciting times as the Finance Awards North West return for the second year recognising the achievements of the region’s top finance professionals and businesses.
One of the things we love about providing serviced offices in Liverpool is the fact that we have plenty of businesses here under one roof. It’s no secret that being in business can be tough but it can also be quite lonely if you don’t keep yourself connected. This is why it can make such a vast difference to your mental health and ultimately your business if you are able to share your successes with like-minded people.
Not only does having your business located within shared offices located within such a professional environment help with the image you portray for your clients, but it also helps you feel like you are ‘in business’ from the get-go. We’re not knocking setting your business up from home but it makes a huge difference to your frame of mind if you are surrounded by other successful business people every day.
These awards are an example of how other people are thriving within their business category as Merseyside businesses are being urged to submit their entries for an array of categories including two newcomers – Diversity in Finance and Financial Controller of the Year.

A panel of industry leaders in the region will judge the entries– last years panel included Premier Foods, The Alchemist, and Carrington Textiles. Deadline for entries is Friday, July 5.
The awards have many categories including:
- Finance Director of the Year (less than £25m turnover)
- Finance Director of the Year (£25 – £100m turnover)
- Finance Director of the Year (over £100m turnover)
- Rising Star of the Year (Non/Part Qualified)
- Rising Star of the Year (Qualified)
- Finance Team of the Year (small – up to 5 members)
- Finance Team of the Year (medium – 6-19 members)
- Finance Team of the Year (large – 20 + members)
- Financial Controller of the Year (less than £100m turnover)
- Financial Controller of the Year (£100m+ turnover)
- Shared Service Centre of the Year
- Innovation in Finance
- Diversity in Finance
The awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, October 17 in Manchester and with more than 500 professionals from the region gathering to celebrate the outstanding achievements of the regions business and finance community.
