Why An Outer City Office Location Is Ideal During The Festive Season

Now that more companies are trying to encourage employees back into the office, location has never been such an important consideration for business owners.

While it is important to have a good base all year round, there are huge advantages to choosing an office on the outskirts of a city in the lead-up to Christmas.

Post-work shopping

One of the great things about working in Anfield is that it only takes between 15 and 30 minutes to get into Liverpool city centre after work. Whether you hop on a bus or drive, you can make the most of the city centre’s great shops all evening when working in a Liverpool office.

The fact that Liverpool ONE, its biggest mall, is open until 9pm every weeknight from mid-December means that workers can do all their Christmas shopping after work, saving their weekends for festive fun.

Great for work parties

The much-anticipated work Christmas party is famous in every line of employment, and it’s even better for those who work in or near a city.

Being in such a convenient location means staff can go straight from the office to the allocated restaurant or bar without having to make separate arrangements.

As many people will also take public transport to and from work, being so conveniently located means they can get home easily after the festive night out, either using their original transport route or going from the centre.

Enjoy Christmas spirit

Another reason why it’s so nice to be in a busy and accessible location leading up to Christmas is it makes it easier for employees to get into the spirit of things.

From seeing Yuletide posters on their commute to walking past elaborately decorated trees, they will feel unashamedly Christmassy by the time they sit down at their desk in the morning.

While bosses might worry this festive feeling could serve as a distraction, the opposite is, in fact, true.

According to Christmas Tree World, nearly three-quarters of employees work harder if their boss gets into the holiday spirit. As much as 78 per cent claim to work more in December, with 22 per cent saying this is so they can really enjoy it when they finish for Christmas.
